Hey folks. I just downloaded the Blogger app for my smart ass phone. Not much customization at all. I may have to look into alternative blog apps.

I want to put more focus and time into blogger and YouTube. So I thought it would be good to familiarize myself with the mobile options.

PS- Hamburger Helper is changing its name to Hamburger Personal Assistant & Publicist.

I painted this portrait of Conan O'Brien. I love Conan's show. There were so many late night laughs I've shared with my friends.

I was always on his side during the late night wars and I hate to see his show get destroyed by NBC. But I am hopeful. I know Conan will return and be better than ever. I can't wait.

Until then, I will keep cool, my babies.

OhNo!Doom....but in a good way.

I was going to show three new paintings at the Painted Ladies exhibit at the A.Okay Official gallery in Chicago next month. A few things have changed.

I just got an email from the curators, Max & Lana, and they have postponed the art show until June 201o. They have also moved the show from A.Okay Official to the much larger OhNo!Doom gallery. This should be a lovely art show. The artists are all paying homage to the loveliness of the ladies.

The Bad News: You have to wait a few more months for the Painted Ladies exhibit.
The Good News: The postponement will give the artists ample time to paint some beautiful work. Good things come to those who wait.

OhNo! Doom has been a popular art space in Chicago for the past two years. Created by designers to showcase artists of the same genre. Even though she is listening to some good tunes, she is distracted by something. Possibly another album that looks like it might be interesting?

I was listening to this song all day. I couldn't help but think of how it's the perfect soundtrack for a day like today.

I'm not a huge fan of the Foo Fighters, but I really do think Dave Grohl is an incredible musician who writes incredible songs.

Here's an acoustic version of "Times Like These". Dave Grohl delivers on this one. He should do more acoustic stuff..........it's a beautiful version.

There's a punk band from Los Angeles called The Bronx. They got a wild hair up their asses one day and decided to make a mariachi album. I listened to it today and it's really awesome. It comes out on Tuesday August 25th. I can't wait to get it.

If you ask me, I would say that they're way better as a mariachi band than a punk band.

Hello my cool and nerdy friends.

A new print will be available for sale online next Friday, August 21st. "Auditeur" is a print not to be missed. A must for art lovers and music lovers..........and redhead lovers.

Limited Edition of 100, signed and numbered. I will also have some prints for purchase at the Phoenix Art Museum on Saturday August 22nd. WHAT?!?!

Yes.....I will be painting live at the P.A.M. for the locals only show as part of the Phantom Sightings exhibit. Hope you can come watch my fat ass throw down some sweet paint action.

And now on a personal note..........right after I'm done painting I'm gonna pack my paints and fly out west to see my Godson get baptized. I can't wait. He's a wild little man and the coolest baby on the planet. It'll be great to see him and hang out with my good friends. I bought a bad ass wireless flash for my DSLR camera so I'll be taking plenty of pics of the Godson and family. This camera of mine rocks......people think I'm a paparazzi and try to kick my ass all the time.

It'll be a fun filled weekend.

AZ Art Supply's New Location.

I took a trip to the art store yesterday to stock up on supplies. One of my favorite things to do.

The AZ Art Supply is where I like to shop. I like to shop at any art supply store, but AAS is nice because it's closer to where I live and the staff is super nice. They're a little more expensive than Jerry's Artarama in Tempe.......but you can't beat a close location and friendly staff.

They recently moved a farther. From 3rd ave & Indian School to 16th street & Indian School.

When I walked into the new location I instantly missed the old location. A lot of supplies I needed were still boxed up from the move over. It looked like a bummer.

Even though they're still unpacking from the move, and everything is chaotic, the staff is still really friendly. They are stressed out, but still wiling to help you find what you need.

The new location will take some time to get use to. But I'm really glad I have an art store to go to.

If only there were an art store that was open 24 hours a day.

Girl with headphones painting & prints.

I just finished a little painting for a Japanese DJ named McGEE HOMME. The artwork is for the cover of his house mix CD.

I used watercolour for everything except the headphones & details. I used black Liquitex ink for the headphones. For the fine details like the eye lashes, nostrils, and curled hairs I used different coloured Liquitex inks.

I love the Liquitex inks. Great fluidity with the brush. Gives you amazing line work that acrylic paints can't reproduce.

I will be making this painting into limited edition prints. So STAY TUNED!!!! I have a lot of prints in the making. I've been trying to find the time and money to get more produced.

If you can't afford to acquire original artwork.......a limited edition print (signed and numbered) is the next best thing. It's more affordable, and you'll have something to increase the size of your art collection.

Later on down the road when you die of old age, the grandchildren can take your art collection to the Antiques Roadshow to have the art appraised and then sell it on eBay. Everyone wins!!!! :]

March Madness (Art Detour)

I will be showing artwork at First Studio for Art Detour, March 2010.

Art Detour is a big deal for the downtown art scene in Phoenix, so I'm happy to have a secured spot to show in. Usually things unfold at the last minute. So this is a nice change of pace. Planning ahead can be good sometimes.

First Studio is the place where they use to shoot the 'Wallace & Ladmo Show'. The Emmy award winning and highest rated kid's show in Arizona history.
